Ingredients:
Serves 4 to 6
2 lb beef chuck roast, sliced into thin strips, cut across the grain
2 C beef broth
2 Tbsp sesame oil
2 Tbsp garlic, minced
1/2 tsp chili flakes
1 C soy sauce
2/3 C brown sugar, packed
1/3 C cornstarch
4 C broccoli florets, steamed
White rice, cooked
Directions:
Add beef broth, sesame oil, garlic, chili flakes, soy sauce, brown sugar, and cornstarch, to crock pot. Stir to combine.
Add sliced beef and mix until completely coated.
Cover and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours, or low for 5 to 6 hours, or until meat is cooked through and tender.
Remove the lid approximately 30 minutes before the meat is done, to allow sauce to thicken.
Steam broccoli and add to pot. Stir carefully, so as to not break broccoli into tiny pieces. Serve with rice.
