Ingredients;
Yield: 2 dozen
2 1/2 C all-purpose flour
2 C (mini) semi-sweet chocolate chips, or dark chocolate
1 C light brown sugar
1 C (2 sticks) unsalted butter
2/3 C sugar
2 large eggs
2 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
sea salt, garnish, optional
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 F degrees. Lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
Place butter in a medium saucepan, over medium heat. Melt, stirring frequently, until browned.
Remove from heat and let cool.
In a large bowl or mixer, beat butter and sugars until combined. Add eggs one at a time.
Add vanilla. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until just incorporated.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Pour dough into baking dish, smoothing the top.
If using, lightly sprinkle a pinch of sea salt evenly over dough.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and the edges have started to pull away from the sides of the pan.
Let cool 15 minutes before slicing into bars.
